Pitura Seeds News and Updates

Pitura Seeds COVID-19 Spring Operations

In preparation for spring seed pick up, we wanted to touch base with you on the changes that you will see at our facility due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These changes are in effect to protect the health and safety of our employees, families, customers and community. We have implemented the following changes:

  • Our yard is closed to visitors. Please call or text ahead if you are coming to pick up seed. We will make sure we are ready for you.

  • When you arrive on site, please pull onto the scale and report directly to the office door. The office is locked, however we have installed a sliding window on this door to allow for communication while providing proper social distancing.

  • Please bring your own pen to sign scale tickets.

  • When in our yard, we ask that you stay within 5 feet of your truck at all times. This will allow you to manage your tarps and watch your gauges.

  • We ask that you respect all social distancing rules from our staff (6 feet).

  • We have installed a portable restroom for anyone that needs to use the facilities.

Our goal is to make your seed pick up go as smoothly as possible, even with these new protocols. We do ask that if you are feeling ill or experiencing any of the symptoms related to the virus, please re-schedule your pick up or send someone else. If you have any questions or concerns about our processes, please feel free to call us at 204-736-2849. We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time and look forward to supporting you as we get the 2020 crop seeded.
