Pitura Seeds COVID-19 Update
Dear Customers and Partners,
At Pitura Seeds, the safety of our staff and customers is one of our top priorities. In March of 2020 we instituted COVID-19 safety protocols throughout our operation, and continue to apply these measures today. This included separating our staff into groups, or cohorts, in order to reduce the potential for widespread transmission.
Earlier this week we were notified one of our employees tested positive for COVID-19. This employee is doing ok and is expected to make a full recovery. All employees in this cohort, in addition to a select number of other close contacts, are now isolating. We are cooperating fully with Manitoba Public Health and adhering to all COVID-19 protocols. While the remaining staff are not considered close contacts of this employee, we made the decision to close our in-person business to the public for the remainder of this week, while we organize our safety and response efforts. Please note that all staff are available via phone as per usual, and that agronomy staff will be conducting field visits as scheduled.
We very much look forward to the day when COVID-19 is behind us, and we can welcome our customers with a hearty handshake. Until that time, please know that we are doing our best to keep everyone safe.
