Pitura Seeds Welcomes New Agronomist

Katie Meggison.png

We are excited to announce the addition of Katie Meggison to our sales and agronomy team! Katie comes to us with a variety of agronomic experience and we are excited for her to help service our customers needs.

Katie comes from a mixed grain and cattle farm at Goodlands, Mb, where she has farmed full time and part time with her family in recent years. She graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a focus on Agronomy and Soil Science. She currently has her AIT designation and is working towards her CCA designation. Katie's background experience as a full-time agronomist has given her a good foundation with in-season agronomy of many crops grown in Manitoba, soil sampling and fertility planning, and VR mapping. As she relocates to a new part of Manitoba, she's looking forward to learning about the challenges and advantages that producers manage that are specific to their farm.

Outside of work, Katie is community oriented and enjoys taking part in curling bonspiels, slow pitch games, and spending time outside and at the lake with family and friends.

She is excited to join the team at Pitura Seeds and to learn more about the farming community in a different part of Manitoba. You can contact Katie at (204) 264-0678 or katie@pituraseeds.ca
